Chester T. Martin, 65, a former Crawfordsville resident, died in Winona Memorial Hospital at Indianapolis Sunday after a three-week illness. Mr. Martin was assistant treasurer of Grain Dealers Mutual Insurance Co. where he had been employed 40 years prior to his retirement on April 1, 1970. Mr. Martin was an elder in the Third Christian Church at Indianapolis. He was born near Crawfordsville on March 11, 1905, a son of Wallace B. and Nancy Ann Martin. Surviving are the widow, Frances, and a brother, R. Kenneth Martin of Dallas, Tex. Services will be conducted for Chester T. Martin at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Third Christian Church, Indianapolis. Friends may call Tuesday at the Flanner & Buchanan Fall Creek Mortuary. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
